Shawn K. Grandia, M.D.

Dr. Shawn K. Grandia completed her undergraduate education at Southern Illinois University with a B.A. in physics in 1979.  She obtained her M.D. degree from Northwestern University in 1983.  After a general surgery internship at Mercy Hospital in Chicago, she completed her Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.  In 1991, she completed a fellowship in total joint arthoroplasty under the direction of Dr. Charles Engh at the Anderson Clinic in Arlington, Virginia.  She is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon.  Dr. Grandia has active staff privileges at Frederick Memorial Hospital and at the Frederick Surgical Center.  She is currently Chief of Surgery at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
