Robert T. Fisher, M.D. |
Dr. Robert T. Fisher is a Frederick native. He is a 1973 honors graduate from West Virginia University and a 1977 graduate from the University of Maryland Medical School. After completing one year of general surgery internship, his four years of Orthopaedic Training was completed within the University of Maryland Hospital Systems. During that time, he served as Chief Resident in Orthopaedic Surgery in Shock Trauma, Adult/Reconstructive Services, Children's Orthopaedic Services, and Hand Services.
Upon finishing his residency in 1982, Dr. Fisher began the private practice of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Maryland Orthopaedic Society, and Frederick County Medical Society. Dr. Fisher has active staff privileges at Frederick Memorial Hospital where he has been Chief of Orthopaedics and Chief of Surgery. He also has active privileges at the Frederick Surgical Center.
